Coconut and Palm Oils Cause Atherosclerosis: Just Say, “No.”
1. Just about all Cosmetic Coconut and Palm Oils go in your body.
2. Most lotions/creams are made with palm or coconut oils primarily. These are loaded with fatty acids that contain lauric, myristic, and palmitic acids… about 80% of the fatty acids in coconut and palm oil are one of these. These cause heart disease, atherosclerosis, and obesity.
3. A typical cream has about 90 calories per ounce; the typical suntan or cosmetic oil has 255 calories per ounce. Some people put as much as 8 ounces a day of body lotions each day.. more than two big mac’s….4 ounces of coconut and palm oils per application is common at the beach.
4. If you are going to put this much oil/calories in your body, you would be better off with linoleic, linolenic and higher oils (c18 plus). These are expensive but Kiwi, chia, black currant all have omega 3 oils.
5. Most surfactants are toxic. Surfactants are part oil and part water loving. The most prevalent is sodium lauryl sulfate. It is that old lauric acid with an attached sulfate that makes such a great detergent for garage floor grease, its initial use.
