So, why a sugaring franchise? Why not a waxing franchise? Many of the waxing franchises are very well established and have structured support systems. The answer is shorter than it would seem. It has always been about the clients visit, experience and results.

Did you know 75% of our clients are women? We love our male clients. But we understand the value in what we do and we understand women have always wanted a place they could call their own within aesthetics. At least on the larger level. That is what we've built.

Our spray tan has very little, if any, scent. So many tans have that weird, offensive smell. And the smell they have is distinct. I think that's the worst thing about it. Nothing else smells like those tans and there's no mistaking that “spray tan smell”. Our tan has little, of any scent so it will be your secret. I call it “tan-destine”, get it?

I knew what I wanted Sugar Sugar to be. I just didn't know how to get there. I didn't know all of the pitfalls within the Body Sugaring business I'd meet, and eventually conquer.

We knew the downside with spray tans. Nobody liked the way they smelled. Nobody liked the way they looked. It ultimately had turned into a little more than an alternative color people could have. We also weren't crazy about the way the spray tans would wear and eventually flake off or become “freckly” on skin pinches (clavicle, elbows).

Our spray tan started by accident really. We started to see more clients having gotten full leg/bikini sugar waxing who would finish our service and travel someplace else to get a spray tan. They started asking us why we didn't provide the service. There were machine sprays, and ultimately two spray tan solution companies controlling 99% of the spray tan market. So everybody was getting the same, orange, smelly tan. Our clients wanted the change.

...We always want our clients to understand our concern and care for their skin and their skin goals. Sugaring has become the largest part of who we are. It's certainly our brand identity. But sugar waxing is only the hair removal solution within our larger ethos. When done correctly; it is a cleaner, safer and better way to remove unwanted hair.... 

I make it a point every quarter to walk the floor of our business, imagining I am a sugar wax client. At every step I think about the experience, the service, the deportment. Years ago, one of the things we notices was clients will rebook 20-25 points higher if they rebooked directly with their service provider. At first we through this should occur in the rooms. But we wanted the functionality of staff showing clients applicable products. We have an amazing line, Skin From Scratch. It was important to have it featured prominently within our franchise “Spa Science”
